During the years 1869 to 1939, in the aftermath of the Industrial Revolution, more than 100,000 youngsters, aged from 4 years to 14 years, were sent from Britain to Canada to work as farm labourers or domestics. These youngsters were known as the British Home Children. Their stories will be revealed by John and Jan Milnes, co-authors of two books that follow 3 boys and 3 girls, all British Home Children, as they leave their homeland to settle in Canada.
